Kilometer route - Click to see map Enjoy this more challenging route out to the Alameda de las Pulgas and then head north, to Woodside Road. Pass Interstate 280 on the climb up to Whiskey Hill Road, then cruise south to Sand Hill Road and out to Portola Road and the water stop at the Woodside Fire District station near Alpine Road. After your refreshments, take Alpine Road down to Arastradero Road, passing the historic Alpine Inn. The course will wind around Arastradero Road, with a short jaunt on Page Mill Road, and then into Los Altos, starting with a right turn on Purissima leading to some short climbs on Robleda, Elena and on to Foothill College. From there, the route winds its way back to Foothill Boulevard and on to Stevens Canyon Road and then up the short, steep climb of Montebello Road to Picchetti Open Space Reserve and Winery, where a delicious lunch will be served. Enjoy the leisurely return trip to Menlo-Atherton High School via Foothill Boulevard. The estimated elevation gain for this route is a comfortable 1,200 feet. 100
Kilometer route - Click to see map The Tour's most challenging route takes riders north on the Alameda de las Pulgas roundabout to a half-mile climb up Edgewood Road, and then north on Canada Road, crossing Highway 92, and on to Crystal Springs Reservoir. Watch for the water/rest stop on Polhemus Road and climb up past Interstate 280 to the paved bike path that returns riders to Canada Road and then back to Woodside. Following a short climb to Whiskey Hill Road, riders will link up with the 46-mile route, heading to the rest/water stop at the Woodside Fire District station on Portola Road, and then to Los Altos via Alpine and Arastradero roads. After some short climbs, riders will turn right on Foothill Boulevard and head for the lunch stop at Picchetti Open Space Reserve and Winery on Montebello Road. The return to the start is via Foothill Boulevard and Valparaiso Road.
